Just read the directions to understand how easy, yet effective and professional results will be when you commence to make CD/DVD case covers, CD labels and CD case inserts: Re the ScanGear, this is for scanning from the machine so it is handy having the file but not needed for printing.(Software to create CD DVD covers with Canon iP4000 printer support!)Īnd as for easy to use, well 'user-friendly' is now even more friendly. If the printer still does not work after doing the above then please reply. When the Add pane switches back to the printer list you will probably see the 470 - it can take a while for the printer to add automatically to the list. Cancel the adding of the printer if this happens. Note also that when you select the printer in the default view you may get a message saying that the printer is already installed. Note that if it doesn't do this automatically you cannot manually select it. Select the MP470 and watch the Print using menu. If it is not listed, select to Add and choose the Default view. The driver software should automatically add the 470 as a printer.

Then unplug the MP470 USB cable from your Mac and download the driver via the link above. If you can then empty the trash this may be helpful. I would also navigate to Mac HD/Library/Receipts and trash the packages named Canon MPxxx.pkg. I would navigate to the Mac HD/Library/Printers/Canon/BJPrinter and trash everything in this folder.

Since you have tried a number of other drivers then you may have too much on your Mac that could be causing conflicts. This version works for other models of 10.5.4 so it should be okay for your model. I found v6.9.3 driver for the MP470 via the Canon Australia web site.
